Real life and not much else

Today has been a busy one with heating system renovation complete, and looking after my son and wife. I haven't done anything or even thought much about gaming today, which is unusual for me. I have been thinking about running a skirmish set in Kozakura using Song of Blades and Heroes. I have loads of Steve Jackson's Cardboard Heroes, which have several Japanese figures, and I can make anything else needed.

Hubris and Comprehension

Upon re-reading sections of 1E, I have discovered that pieces of character class design that I thought I was re-inventing have turned out to be explicitly stated (if somewhat buried away) in 1E OA. e.g. the names of wu jen spell schools (Cook gives wood and metal as alternative names for nature and earth respectively) and the shukenja's code (the prohibition against needless violence is tucked away there).

I'm going back to edit the wu jen and the hengeyokai, to correct an omission and eliminate some redundancy.

Started work on weapons table for LotS. It's long... and I've started a new job. Slow progress...
