Which fictional character would you be?
OK, that's a difficult one. Now, the stipulation was that it should be from one's favourite piece of literature. That's a tough one from the off. I have read quite a few novels that have moved me, stunned me, made me think and all those other things. Mr Darcy (the original one) is pretty cool. I love Jane Austen's writing; Pride and Prejudice made me laugh out loud. Darcy actually has a lot of crap to deal with and ends up with horrific in-laws, so maybe not him. Aragorn? Very cool; he's strong, brave, smart, kind, knowledgeable. And he gets an elf chick. Job done.

Although I can completely see why you'd like to be him, before he gets his happy ending, he has an absolutely miserable time of it.
ReplyDeleteAragorn is pretty great. I'm not sure you could have chosen better.
ReplyDeleteConan the Barbarian. He lives how he wants and by his own code, fights and bones his way across Hyboria, makes and wastes fortunes, kills wizards and gods, and ends up a king with an excellent wife. Sure he had a lot of bad stuff happen to him along the way, but that just makes you appreciate living more.

ReplyDeleteI second Aragorn as a great choice. I always gravitated more towards Raistlin from the Dragonlance novels.Being forced to pick from my favorite pieces of literature make things more difficult. Somehow, I don't think Jude Fawley would cut it. 8)
